2015 marked the first partnership between the Sport Management Program at Texas A&M University and the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision. The successful partnership will continue for 2017 allowing for up to 10 students to work on location at the NCAA Division I Football Championship game. The event is held at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. The students will assist the FCS staff with the execution of the event through game day on January 7th. The FCS Experience is an opportunity presented to both undergraduate and graduate current HLKN students. An application and interview process is conducted by Dr. Hudson.
An event this large has various components including media and corporate relations, marketing and promotions, game presentation, and event management. This involvement allows for HLKN students to gain a well-rounded experience. Our agreement with the Football Championship Subdivision is that our students will be supervised by Dr. Shane Hudson and assist the FCS staff as needed.
