Welcome to Laboratory for the Study of Intercollegiate Athletics
The College Sport Lecture Series is presented annually each spring. The main focus of the Lecture Series is to recruit industry professionals to share their experience and knowledge with Sport Management students, faculty members, and members of the community.

Morgan London (pictured on the left), a sophomore at Kilgore College in Kilgore, Texas, is currently in her last year as a Kilgore Rangerette and has performed at the Cotton Bowl in for the past two years, but the historic Rangerette’s have performed for 66 consecutive years as the halftime entertainment. This past year the Cotton Bowl hosted the Michigan State football team at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, a Dallas hospital, to visit with the patients. The History of LSIA
The Laboratory examines major concepts and issues related to the management and conduct of all levels of intercollegiate athletics, including those related to: organizational effectiveness and efficiency, social responsibility and ethics, revenue generation, leadership, organizational control and planning, reform and organizational change, fiscal management, gender equity, diversity, legal aspects and compliance, career attainment processes, and marketing.
